Warning: NSFW with the volume up. Frankly, I am surprised youtube has it still available.

We (I mean my older brothers) had this edition when I was a kid, and I remember playing this record and reading along. I don't believe I would let my kids read this stuff today. Then again, MAD Magazine and National Lampoon died a long time ago.

That's a pretty spot on parody I'd say.

MAD Magazine was the greatest!

What was always amazing to me is how accurate some of their takeoffs on movies were. I remember reading a movie portrayal and laughing at how the actual movie couldn't possibly contain what was in MAD Magazine. But years later, when I saw the movie, it was actually in the movie.

And who could resist Superduperman?

You have one mistake, though. MAD Magazine is still around. You can subscribe to it at https://subscriptions.dccomics.com/mad

Mad Magazine - where nothing was off limits. Even my signature is a quote from Alfred E. Neuman.
Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

A particularly funny one was the Democrat reaction to Ford pardoning Nixon. MAD Magazine put out a cover back that said "Why not pardon Hitler?" and it still cracks up because of the totally startled expression and the off the wall anger with the response it showed.

Agreed. They were geniuses, and ahead of their time. Though the staff was I'm sure left-leaning, their political satire was nothing short of incisive.

And of course, the signature favorites - Don Martin's cartoons, the fold-in on the back cover, Dave Berg's "Lighter Side of _____", the skewering that damn near every popular movie got from 1965 on. Good stuff.

Collector nerd alert - in my garage, in sealed gallon freezer bags and all inside a couple of totes are every MAD magazine going back to the mid-60s. Dad collected these beginning in his teenage years, and I got the collection when he had to sell the ranch and move to more assisted setup.

THIS. The `Jaws' and `Alien' parodies particularly recall.
