I grew up watching the show with my parents, but my wife and I began watching again in February of this year.

Maybe this is common knowledge, but they have to be using a racial quota, right? Over the past 29 consecutive episodes, there has been one black contestant on the show each night. I find the likelihood of that being random very improbable. How long has it been this way?

If you read my OP, I didn't raise this after watching 2, 3, or 10 random episodes. You'd be oblivious not to notice that 1/3 of contestants were black 29 times in a row. But I guess I'm just the first person in America to notice.

We watch regularly with our kids in the evening.

Couple things to account for include: they are only bringing in contestants within driving distance of their studio because of Covid, they have always had casting calls to find compelling contestants, and if selected they typically give you options of dates to attend.

You may have noticed that they had 1-2 contestants everyday that had some random job while trying to break into some random area of Hollywood.

Jeopardy recently brought back their winner from out of state for the first time when Jennings began his guest host.

Ah, yes. Actual racial discrimination, such as selecting game show participants based on skin color, is no big deal. Noticing the racial discrimination, and pointing it out on a message board, now that's shameful.
