It took feelings and "might helps" to put in mask mandates and shut down businesses.

It's going to take hard core, scientific proof to ever get away from the shut downs.

Guess what, we ain't getting hard core scientific proof - ever.

If the Earth would open up and swallow that POS, we'd all be better off.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

"What can vaccinated people do in the home setting...?"

Wtf? What can non-vaccinated people not do in the home setting? Is he wanting us all to wear masks while at home with our family? This is ridiculous

"It would be irresponsible for us to allow everyone to have their freedom back all at once. You can only give them conditional freedoms, and you have to do it slowly, so they will appreciate you for giving it to them."

Or something like that.
This.

Its disgusting.

These people are fear-mongering and the sad reality is people take this hook-line-sinker. I know several coworkers who leave in constant fear. I dont think they are bad people they just get their news / information from singular sources and if you hear this scare tactic day in and day out I am sure it impacts.

They really don't want us to ever really travel again.

Did the Nazi's allow subjects to freely travel? Did Lenin or Mao?

There's your answer.

Bottom line is that he's doing what he has done from the beginning of this thing - guess, fly by the seat of his pants, pander to the left, and create a narrative that suits his personal interests - both ego and financial.

His judgement is 100% based on guarantees. the dude cannot think logically, or go off of a high percentage. He seems to need 100% certainty in everything to vouch for it. It's been a terrible message for the public.

Similar to saying the vaccine might not prevent spread, even though it clearly does in reality because it triggers and even stronger immune response than your average natural infection does. So logically speaking, you can say with high confidence that vaccinated people greatly help prevent the spread of covid 19. We don't need 100% guarantees to move on with life, but people like Fauci do.

Oh, and health officials are worried about spring back spread!

Shocking CNN headline. Why not something closer to: Spring break may cause some infections, but health officials see immunity increasing, and spring break is far less likely to have any kind of major negative effect than it would have 6 months ago, or a year ago. And in reality, all the spring breakers have been partying with friends for the last 10 months anyways, so most are likely immune by this point.

Nope. No way.

Here is the scary thing....people are now looking for this.

I have started being more open about my stance at work lately (fairly liberal team) and if there is an ounce of risk they panic. I ask them if they will forever apply this logic to the flu and any other diseases that you can either die from or need a stay in the hospital to recover and they dont give answers. They dont think about it. It is amazing. The one thing they know is they need 100% guarantee or otherwise you are "playing games with people's lives"...

Relate to day to day life decisions to these dimwits. Is there a chance you die in a car crash on the way to work? Do you ever fly for travel? What recreational activities do you do?

It's amazing people can't relate their everyday life to this crap going on. Risk is part of every decision. Even minimal risk.
