Can't remember the details now, but years ago Rush said Biden was in a house he couldn't afford and had refinanced like 30 times or something, presumably with Dem banks while working with related legislation. Basically showed him as a really dumb and dirty politician.

Mayor Pete was a Rhodes Scholar and business consultant and bragged that he was the only non-millionaire candidate. AOC couldn't afford healthcare until she became a Congresswoman. Biden made a good salary for 30 years and has a net worth of $30K?

I don't recall the house situation but several years ago there were articles about how much money he didn't have compared to his peers in Washington.

He was pretty famous for it and folks pointed it out as a virtuous fact about him. So, I don't disbelieve he was comparatively less well off in 2009 although only 30k means he's the dumbest m'fer that has ever served as others have said.
