No charges possible, even if they could prove he did it. To get a False Report charge, it has to be a false report regarding a criminal investigation. Racist notes aren't a crime.

Straight up hoax. I think there is some truth to the theory that was proposed here. If this was a fake hate crime (which it was) then we should know who committed it.

What frustrates me the most in this is the folks that are so obsessed with racism are silent on this. They should be leading the charge to find out who did this and if it was a hoax to shame those who committed the hoax. Actions like this make it hard not to roll your eyes at every cry of racism and the fact that they don't seem to care if it is real or fake makes things far worse.
