My book idea

Here is the idea I have been having for a book.
It is copied from an email I sent to a friend.

quote:
I was talking to a Jewish friend and he was talking about how some orthodox Jews believe that the messiah will be brought through technology. They call it a messianic age.

I am thinking of a book, fiction, but dealing with prophecy.

The short story is this.

The war on terror presents a need for our government to come up with some sort of implantable device that could track all the terrorist they capture and let go during the WOT. They commission a Jewish scientific organization to do it, who has more ambitious goals. They believe the technology is just a stopping point to implantable devices that could cure disease, influence mental health, and make everyone happy and at peace. Enter a technology called nanotechnology. http://www.zyvex.com/nano/. These scientist also recognize the need for this type of device to be inserted into a body in a secret way for military purposes. So while the government and scientists are working on this they conclude that they can use nanotechnology ingested through water or food to get the particles needed to build the device in the body in the first place. As the story would go, they would complete the technology, give it to prisoners in their water and food. Once it was “activated” through some contact through the skin it would cause the device to build itself inside the body. Anyway, time goes by and some evil people get into this technology, use it to influence some political and religious people and get the building blocks into our food supply. Once a major food supply is tainted through water and soft drinks, they then use “ash Wednesday” of the catholic tradition and voting to activate the technology. Ash Wednesday would cause the device to build itself on the forehead and I would link voting through a stamp that would be placed on the right hand after a vote to keep people from voter fraud. So the “mark” is now on foreheads and right hands and people don’t know it. One of the ways the evil folks decided to use the device for mind control is to engineer it to cause the brain to release endorphins or deliver substances to people that would normally be dormant in the food/water supply, but when used by the device would cause peoples moods to change. So as the evil political/religious leaders made speeches and such they could cause peoples brains to release endorphins causing them to follow them. Anyway, things would keep going from there. They would be a small group of Jewish people who will resist as they know the truth. Etc…

I haven’t figured out the actual rapture part yet. I am thinking that instead of disappearing like in Left Behind, for some reason the Christians bodies would reject the device when it was activated and they would die, or be taken up. So basically you would have all the Christian people being raptured through death. Instead of having millions of people disappear, they would all die in a short period of time and it would be explained as an epidemic. Or some sort of biological terror event.

I know it isn’t probably scripturally accurate, and that is where I need help.

I think it is kind of a cool idea though. Don’t worry I don’t believe any of this. All technology can be used for good and evil.

The thought I had today was that the anti-christ could be a clone made from the DNA of the shroud of turin.

Ok.. It could be some hair or something that they have been holding in the vatican vaults all these years.

In 1988 three independent radio carbon dating tests from portions of a swatch taken from a corner of the shroud all agreed with a dating in the 13th to 14th centuries (1260-1390) that would seem to indicate a medieval hoax. While the test can be highly accurate, it was developed primarily for use on objects recently unearthed or otherwise shielded from human contact until shortly before the test is conducted, unlike the Shroud so error is possible. Some argue that bacterial residue on the Shroud caused the error, there are many examples of ancient textiles being misdated. Others argue that carbon residue from the fire of 1532 invalidates the test.

Anyways the Carbon-14 test has done little to quell speculation about the Shroud. The Catholic Church has made no pronouncements claiming it is Christ's burial shroud, or that it is a forgery. The matter has been left to the personal decision of the faithful.

Maybe you should hire a ghost writer.
