First off, I know that just because a Singer sings a song about God, it doesn't mean they're Christian. That said, I think that whatever the intentions were, some have released songs that have blessed me, ministered to me, and made me think. Some of my favorites from mainstream are:

Pray for the Fish - Randy Travis
Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts
Lacy's Song (Help Pour out the Rain) - Buddy Jewel
If Something Should Happen - Darryl Worley

One of the main things I like about country is that an artist can profess his faith in his music and it's not regulated to "christian" radio. What other mainstream country songs has God used to minister to you over the years?

Whoops: Title should read "Godly Country Songs"

"Something That We Do" by Clint Black. Love is shown by our actions, not by pretty words or fuzzy feelings.

"Dreaming With My Eyes Wide Open" by Clay Walker. Stop looking back. Be content with what you have and where you are.

There's more, but those two immediately come to mind.

Couldn't agree more. I believe God often inspires secular artists, whether they recognize they are doing His bidding or not.
