OK- I would like y'all's comments on this:

A friend of a friend is a serious Bible-thumper and about 2 years ago married this guy who had been with about 10 chicks prior to their starting dating. Anyway, she gets him to become born again and makes him wait 4 YEARS to have sex with her, after they get married. They didn't even have sex on their wedding night because she was too busy calling all of her friends on the phone.

Now the poor ******* is lucky if he gets laid once a year- and these people are 26, not 76. She refused to give or receive oral before or after being married; she thinks its gross and "God didn't intend for people to do such things." She also thinks sex is wrong and bad and solely for procreation, therefore she has said, "We won't really have sex until we want to have children."

I am literally dumbstruck at how ****ed up this is. The poor ******* waited 4 years for a piece of the poohnanny, never gotten a freaking blow job, and now ****ing geriatrics have more sex than he does.

Sorry, but she sounds like an idiot, and it seems like she's using the Bible only to thump and never read. 1 Corinthians 7 seems to cover it pretty well. It's not just her body anymore, says Paul, and if she really loves him she would give freely to him. Philippians 2 - heart of a servant, doesn't sound like it.

1 Corinthians 7:3-5

3The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Have her read the Song of Solomon. Sex isn't just to procreate.

Also, I highly recommend Doug Wilson's "Reforming Marriage"

I agree with redroc. Does she have some issues with forgiving him for his lifestyle before they were married and he became a Christian?

"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese."

Have her study JP2's teachings on the matter (minus the oral sex part). She has a pretty distorted view of what Christian sex ought to be.

Skrangeo,

That sounds like one of those great obscure examples with which to attack people who believe they should wait for marriage to have sex.

I await some liberal articles, and perhaps Hollywood to bring those kinds of examples to life for us all!

Waiting for marriage to have sex and not talking about individual beliefs on the subject prior to marrying are two entirely different things. Did she lie to him about her beliefs before marriage or did they simply not discuss it? If he didn't know her any better than what's indicated here; he was a fool to marry her in the first place.

she sounds nuttier than a fruit cake...but he should have known that before saying I do.

OlJock99's assessment seems as apt as any here!

PurdueAg said the same in a more obliving way -- but "pretty distorted" is exactly what that sounds like!

I'm sorry, but I won't answer any post that doesn't have at least 5 swear words.

Try to jam more in next time. It makes it more "realistic."

Consider this the exception.

Whoa, there.

Only unmarried men fail to realize that most women slow way down on sex once they are married! Ask any of your married friends.

Whatever motivates this woman regarding her sex life, her faith is likely unrelated.

The only sad thing here is that he tolerated that nonsense.

This is because most husbands don't take the responsibility to do the things that "turn their wife on". If a husband wants more sex, he should be willing to make the emotional deposits, to love her in a way that will allow her to "get turned on" more frequently. Men view sex as a task. Women view sex as a means to express their satisfaction and love in their mate.

I can positively say that my sex life (and therefore that of my wife's) went WAY up in frequency after marriage. Zero to what it is now. We may be having the worst sex ever, but we wouldn’t know the difference and are enjoying life.

I waited. It was very difficult. It was worth it.

This girl is a nut. My wife was a virgin when we got married and our sex life is great. She can't get enough. And I am not saying it is me. I wish it were. We both discussed sex prior to marriage and we both knew what we found acceptable and what we did not. Honestly, this girl you speak of needs some counseling. Her husband will eventually find somebody else to fufill his loneliness. If she values her marriage and her value as a wife she will do what she can to please her husband and to help their relationship flourish. Being a prude will only lead to an eventual divorce.

Fightin TX Aggie,

Actually my sexlife has not only gotten better, but since my wife hit her 30's she has become hornier than I was as a 16 year old teenager. Lately I feel like some old man in a nursing home. I have read many times that women hit their sexual peak in their 30's while men reach it at 18. I now believe this.
