Daniel 5:18-21 (Wisdom calls for the repentance of both Jews now and Babylonian Gentiles.)

'18 O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father kingship and greatness and glory and majesty. 19 And because of the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled.
20 But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was brought down from his kingly throne, and his glory was taken from him.

Then you have the sign of the Prophet Jonah refusing to go preach repentance to the barbaric Ninevites Gentiles.
And you know what happened in the book of wisdom?
The Ninevites actually repented when he proclaimed the truth. Jonah was upset. For he was personally seeking vengeance and judgment.

And this is not to say that the nation state of Israel is not conducting the repercussions of a just war.
They have the right to self-defense. I see the nation state of Israel as a good overall ally.
