Was a toss up for me on whether to post this here or on the R&P board as this deals with faith and marriage struggles.

Ultimately decided on here due to how much these guys embody the Aggie Spirit as well as how well known they are on this forum...including the fact the reason they got famous in the first place was due to their basketball shot off the 3rd deck of Kyle Field

If you've got time, this is a 3-part series (I think....pretty sure they aren't making a 4th one) with Tyler Toney (main face of DP) and his wife Bethany on them essentially discussing all the struggles they went through while Dude Perfect was going on and their struggles with their faith during the process.

Each video is roughly 9 minutes and definitely worth the listen.

Part 2:

Seem like good guys but there's times that the schtick gets a little old, saw tyler once make a comment on social media that he doesn't care about the money and they'd still be doing this even if it didn't bring in money....uhh don't think so.

I don't understand the fascination with these guys, but to each their own. Lots (most) of internet celebrities that I don't "get."

I have three boys (9, 7, and 7). They absolutely love Dude Perfect. I can sometimes get into their shows as they are fun and funny. Sometimes they are over the top. I give them props for having fun and making money at the same time. Good for them.

What I like most about their show is how clean it is. I don't have to watch the episode and worry about some woke comment or something that goes against our belief in Jesus Christ. I love that about them!

Great post. I can totally relate to the struggles that come along with becoming a multimillionaire from entertaining children.

Spring practice just started. Wtf does this have to do with football?

I think you are missing some important details with your comment here.

1) The fact that they have built an empire off some goofy trick shots is remarkable. Go out and try to do this once let alone over and over again for years and let me know how easy it is.

2) Imagine being in these guys shoes as recent grads from A&M. They were faced with pursuing traditional careers or some pipe dream almost everyone agreed was crazy. Most people (including myself) would take the safe bet. These guys bet on themselves, which is why they have earned my respect and deserve every ounce of success.

I do. I know him personally. My son lived in the "Dude Perfect house" with Tyler one year. Those guys eat, sleep and breathe sports and competition. Tyler is an amazing athlete.

One day, Ty wakes up my son from a dead sleep and says "We're going to buy a soccer net - let's go!" Off they went, bought a full size soccer net for the backyard and they became temporarily obsessed with soccer They had FIFA leagues that they posted on the wall. It was non-stop sports. The twins were always at the house playing sports with the group as well - after they graduated.

The other kid that shared the room with my son walked on to the Aggie football team after failing to make the basketball team. He became a pretty valuable WR, you know the story. My son served as a practice player for the National Champion girls basketball team.

I also know the tall guy because he's nephew's brother-in-law. The Dude Perfect guys are salt of the earth people that love sports but are first and foremost Christians. There's no doubt that they are genuine.

The schtick is for their target audience, these guys know what they are doing.

I mean, there's literally a forum for exactly this type of content. Where OP decided against posting.

I've always like the Dude Perfect guys and they seem like genuine dudes. I'm not on the A&M football forum to read about their faith.

It's March. Go take a look at the rest of the top 10 posts in the football forum. I much prefer this to obsessing over how fast a Bama football player was driving or why Jimbo started King last year.

Yep...it's always the folks with a crap ton of money that says this. Their tune would change if they're struggling to make ends meet at a minimum wage job.

Then don't read it. Just keep scrolling. There's a thousand other threads that aren't so wildly offensive.

I think yal completely misunderstood my point. I never once said they aren't quality people, they're faith is real, or that they love sports.....simply the idea that in their mid 30's they'd still be doing nothing but shooting fun youtube videos if they made no money doing it. If you honestly believe that, yikes.

and I'll add i've met and worked with them and 100% do believe they're great guys.

You realize these guys quit real paying jobs to pursue this as a career when they had families and regular responsibilities that we all have. So they were already were faced with this dilemma and chose their path. So with all due respect, GTFO with this rich person crap.

To be fair, it's March, probably the most dead time for anything football related. What else are we gonna talk about? 2023 record predictions for the 67th time?

Took my boys to their show in SA two years ago? Last year? Wife and I were both eye rolling the whole time but kids loved it.

They finished, Tyler came out and floored me with his testimony on life and awareness that they essentially make meaningless entertainment (his words) but use it as a vehicle to spread faith and values.

When DP loses its luster and goes the way of other vapid entertainment I'm positive Tyler will become a pastor somewhere, he has a real gift for it.

TLDR; their story is great, schtick gets old, impressive people with a great message that made me a fan.

As a 30 something year old male, I love their videos. Are they over the top? Yeah, but I still enjoy them.

I'll watch the videos posted in the OP now.

Edit: I watched the videos. As a husband who started out failing to lead his family spiritually, I can relate to some of those struggles. Glad they are doing what they do.
