In my defense, I've not hid that I used to be GigEm01. I also think that that account is no longer perma banned, but I cringe at the that old handle.

You never knowingly misrepresented yourself.

And this actually makes me sad. Feel sorry for patriot.

When I subscribed I provided my name and my credit card information. It should be easy enough for management to determine if I have previously participated here.

Don't create boogeymen out of past posters and ascribe new posters to these boogeymen. It's not fair to new posters, and it let's you think all the crazies out there are really just a few people instead of many. Ascribing past posters' actions to new ones is awfully quick judgment.

I think it's just a fact that various people have at several points created many socks. Meek and bustup being the main two. If there's a new account with a star posting alt-right Catholic stuff, it may be bustup. It also may not, but I think the odds are >50%.

Real, new users to the site don't think to purchase a star to avoid the posting limit. That's a sock thing, and it's fair to speculate on whose sock it is.

Not a Christian, but it seems like a broad question. If you deny who you were, that would seem to be lying of a sort. I'm not sure it causes any harm. If you make a new account and are open about it, I don't see how that's a lie. I do get a kick out of others who assume some posters MUST be others.

Yep. Given the affinity he has for the Taliban, and that he also apparently seemed to urge caution in saying SS soldiers very well may not have been Christian, I think the Joe = bustup assumption may be accurate.

It's also ironic that you play the victim as you, once again, use scare quotes around Christians. And even this time you've added "self-proclaimed". You have been proven a liar, time and time again.

I'm curious if M1 uses scare quotes and "so-called" to talk about people he's totally not condemning so often that his phone tries to give them as predictive text options with every word he types.

I've pondered changing my handle since it has been 9 years since having actually worked on the 747 platform. But, alas, I haven't. Then I often take a hiatus from this place in recent years and find new handles. It's hard to keep up. Like at the R&P Christmas exchange last year... I was looking for K2 and finally, after some sleuthing, I was able to determine that he was now Zobel.

If I ever elect to change, well, it won't be another airplane reference. Too many to count these days.

I've been wanting to change my name too. I'm a fan of KV obviously, but, in retrospect, it seems strange that I just chose his name as my handle.

If I ever do change my name, I won't tell anyone. I'll just wait to see how long it takes for me to be found out. It will be a fun game.

I don't make a big effort to hide my identity and several posters know or have met me IRL. I was getting some mildly annoying / threatening PMs, though, so I figured why make it that much easier to dox me.

I don't think this person posts like patriot. Patriot seemed like he was strung out on drugs half the time. If I remember correctly he was a fan of meth at various points in his life, and some of his posts were bizarre enough to suggest he never totally kicked the habit.

I won't lose sleep over it but anybody who tries to harm a R&P poster, of all forums, in real life needs to be identified.

And after that behavior and getting supposedly perma banned coming back on here disingenuously with self righteous crap should send off warning signals. Be careful with this guy.
