If they take federal money, then the Feds can tell them to do whatever they want. Or maybe this is public accommodation. Either way, this is perfectly fine. The hospital should close and the low income patients should find somewhere else to meet their needs.

As for the subject of the OP, I don't believe people should be compelled by the state to perform services they do not wish to perform. I don't care as to their reasons. That said, the fact that government money comes with strings is nothing new. And if you're receiving taxpayer money, you shouldn't be free to discriminate against the very people you receive the money from.

The root of this problem, though, is how reliant even many religious organizations have become on money redistributed to them by Caesar.

Instead of trying to dunk let's engage. You're conflating two very different arguments.

Be clear on your personal principles here: if Biden claims to be catholic is it unreasonable to expect him to follow catholic teachings? Is it unreasonable (for a catholic) to ask for church discipline if he doesn't follow that belief? Is it hypocritical to ask a catholic to follow catholic doctrine but not ask an atheist/agnostic to follow Christian doctrine?
