One is not obliged to be abused as a spouse-and I do no justice to her entertaining presentation (apologies to Swimmer Babe, but this girl IS a millennial).

She's a little over the top with the sarcastic dry tone.

Not sure I've ever heard to someone refer to God as divorced from Israel.

I think one can make the argument that once you are physically violent with your spouse, you are the one divorcing them by not just failing to uphold your duties but clearly violating them.

Her audience is largely younger. Not like us olds here in forum 15.

I'm not offended by being called a millennial, but I really really don't like her very much. I'm dry and sarcastic as they come..but her aura is..off putting to me. It's not loving or welcoming.. its...aggressive and hmm I dont know the right way to put it. Something there is icky

Well, she does live in Las Vegas.

Not sure who she is or what her theological credentials are...but no, God is not "divorced."

God has never abandoned his people and taken a new "bride of Christ" if she is referencing the Church. He will, in fact, save any Jew or Gentile who calls upon the name of Jesus, and has always retained a remnant of his chosen people who believe.

I'd proceed with caution on this one...

Why, doctrinally, is physical violence especially sundering, if someone fantasizing about an affair, or being irresponsible with household finances, or even stumbling in their faith?

If your husband is frequently looking at porn (committing adultery in his heart), has he divorced you?
If your husband continually spends money on big screen TVs and boat repairs when your family is struggling to deposit money int the kids HSA for medical expenses, has he divorced you?
If your wife stops going to church and a few months later says she no longer believes in any of that and no longer wants to talk about the Lord as an essential part of your marital union, has she divorced you?

Is this one of those "Gotcha" things? I am not sure why you feel the need to limit to "doctrine" to make your point.

This is also a literal example of a strawman argument. None of those things are physically trying to hurt the other person and I am not sure why you think they are in anyway analgous.
