What planet is Heaven on?

I thought religious people believe that there is a invisible, magical, non-material part somewhere in the body of the human species that somehow wiggles its way to some other place after death.
Isn't this correct? Pets aren't human.

Earth.

Rev. 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

That doesn't make sense. The body is material.

Somebody's Introduction to Christianity course was seriously lacking in depth and content.

Yeah i mean anyone who's actually taken the course knows that pets are really human souls in different bodily vessels. They cover that in the first week of class.

Heaven is being face to face with the Beatific Vision.

In order to be in this state, one must choose to be.

Non-sentient animals (those without Reason) cannot make the choice.

However, it is not outside the realm of possibility that God will allow these pets to inhabit Heaven and the new earth.

So, one may hope to see Fido again. The joy he will bring you, though, is insignificant to that Beatific Vision.

I personally believe we will have a large part in creation in this new world, able to create all sorts of wonders, including Fido. God wants us beyond happy.

We believe in the resurrection of the body.

While Scripture doesn't say that your pets will go to heaven, it also doesn't specify one way or the other. Adam's first job was as caretaker of all the animals on earth. I like to believe that we will be able to continue our caretaking positions.

that's true a physical resurrection is clearly scriptural. Yet most christians seem to think dead people are instantly in heaven in some form or another. Don't you?

Well, we know horses are there:

Quote:

Revelation 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
