Retired Porn Star Ron Jeremy Defends Smut (& God) During Church Speech: ‘Majority’ of ‘Porn Stars Believe in God’

Retired porn star Ron Jeremy found himself at an unusual place this past Sunday: Daybreak Church in Hudsonville, Michigan. Jeremy, who is one of the nation’s most well-known adult stars, wasn’t in the audience, though. Instead, he spoke to the 2,000 people in attendance from the pulpit.

His message? That “a lot of porn stars believe in God.” Rather than being out-of-control heathens without any regard for the Almighty, Jeremy, who has acted in more than 2,000 porn films, said that the “majority” of adult stars embrace God.

Today, Jeremy, though still referred to as a “porn star,” is retired from the industry. However, he still believes wholeheartedly in recreational sex. Among the other comments he made at Daybreak Church, the star admitted that pornography can harm families and that he only believes people who are happy and healthy should partake in it.

Jeremy framed the divide between himself and many evangelical Christians as hinging upon divergent views on pre-marital sex, The Huffington Post reports.

The dude doesn't keep a sleep schedule. He seriously just stays awake until he can't stay awake. It's like Kramer in Seinfeld when he tried the da Vinci sleep pattern experiment.
