I would have done the same thing but you have to ask yourself if you want to live in a country where people are allowed to take the law into their own hands or not. It's a slippery slope imo.

But like I said, I probably would have done the same thing.

On a side note, didn't any of you think it was odd that he went on a walk with his son and got separated? how?

Also we should know if he maybe only hit him once or twice but it was a lucky (or unlucky) shot...or if he just beat his face into oblivion or something.

Ugh, stories like this make you sick in your stomach... but yea, he should go to some jail, but not anything excessive like a life sentence.

If I were in his shoes, I would probably beat the crap out of him and at least remove what he shouldn't have. I'm not sure if I could stop from killing him, and I hope I never have to make that choice.

You say he should go to jail because we cant have a country of vigilantes. What if it was you and your wife on a walk and she disappeared. You end up finding her in an ally with some man on top of her, raping her. Would you kill him then? I think my answer would be the same in both cases: yes, I would kill him!

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in russia - in the US, the prosecuter would probably end up arguing something like "assult with a deadly weapon" because as a former boxer, the guy should know what sort of damage he can do. Plus - the video said he took his kid to safety, and then came back to beat the guy up... I think it would be a lot more clear cut if the guy werent a boxer, and the molester died from his injuries, because the guy wouldnt have known that he could do that...

Thank being said - in this situation, i probably would have done the same thing.

I hope they dont take it too hard on this guy... Imagine what it would do to the 8 year old kid, if his defender were sent to jail for saving him from sexual assault. He's already gonna have it hard enough...

What he should have done was just kill him immediately, NOT drag him off, and then go back. Had he done that i would have called it accidental homicide or something. Clearly it was done in response to danger of his child.

Im ok with this guy.

He did the right thing. No, he should not go to jail.

If tried, he should get jail time. I think about 1-2 days would be enough, enough time to organize the parade for when he gets out.

He should be tried for murder in a court of law.

That being said, if I'm on that jury, he goes free.

1st, I said yes, he should serve some time. After seeing the video, I say no. It would be different if he "hunted" down a pedophile and killed him. He actually caught the guy in the act and saved his son. Completely justifiable. He should receive a national award.
