When we recently moved, I found a bunch of old pictures from the greatness of 1994.
I figured since the RABs are about to become all freshman, it would be kinda cool to post some of them here.

Not to mention, this will be my 5000th post and since my first was on this board, I wanted my Legend post to be here as well.

So here's to you young RABs, and old alike, I know you guys are out there. Hopefully,
the images all work. I only wish I had some shots of cut, but the camera didn't make
it out there.

I don't care what you say, mohawks are effing sweet.

Cut schedule with gratuitous '95 sign.

Of course, in 1994 we weren't satisfied with one stack, so we started over. Most of the dorms had campsites for rebuild. We dubbed ours, the Ranch.

The Ranch at night.

We had to improvise with our cooking. Baling wire makes all sorts of utensils.

I walked out and took a few shots at night while we were off shift.

Of course, full time stack was no excuse to not hit the books. I remember climbing down off
of stack to go take a NUEN test in grodes and coming back to stack afterwards to finish up a shift.

We were out on site when they topped the dorm log and I snaked it for a domino table. Of course we, and by we I mean Stealth Squirrel, gravity checked it at the end of the year.

I just thought this was cool how the sign caught the flash.

At long last, we burned it down.

Who would have thought that in a year's time, a bunch of casual acquaintances living in a
dorm together would end up as true friends that could be counted on for anything. As much as
we built Bonfire, I think in the end, Bonfire built us.

That picture of your table reminds me of a funny story.

When I graduated in 2001, my sister (and her husband, your former roommate) came to CS for my graduation. My sister saw the brown and tan print couch in my living room and said "Hey! That's the couch that used to be in Mitch and Brandon's room 10 years ago!"

It wasn't, but it was funny to thing about the transient nature of college furniture.

Awesome pics!!!

They bring back lots of memories or at least they activate cell clusters in the parts of my brain that once housed memories from that time.

Christ every one was a lot skinnier back then ;p

And of course the most important line:

Awesome pics, guys.

Sesh, great pic of the most important line, but how'd our names get so far down on the pot?

(checks watch)

Oh I see, 15 years has passed since I was a crew chief . . . .

Cool pics Sesh. I hadn't seen what they did for Lupe. Good bull.

You are obviously confused on which line is most important.

Great pics all around, thanks for posting.

However, my favorite pic is the one Hagen has attached to his profile, with Ethan, Dre, and Dan from 96. If I remember right, Lupe took that pic, too.

Of course, that was 10 years and rougly 10,000 beers ago, so there's a decent chance I am wrong on that.

Can't believe this fall will make it a decade...sucks getting old.

Also, I just realized that I don't have a single picture from Bonfire, so if anyone has any pics from 96 or 97 please post them.

Hey Alan, good to hear from you, how's life treating you these days? It has been a long time since I have talked to any of you guys, just been out of the loop for a while I guess. We need to have a reunion in CS this fall, maybe we pick a gameday that works for everyone???

Everything is good here, living/working in The Woodlands, got a daughter on the way this fall. Of course I timed it just right that she is due on day of the Oklahoma game! My DVR is going to be my new best friend once the baby arrives....

Does anyone know what is going to happen to the lines now that Moses is going all freshman?

Well we're still trying to decide on this. This is the current Yellow. My boy semester they told us we were going to be shut down. Well we're still doing it this Bonfire, and we're still pulling bigger crews than some of the other dorms and we dont live there anymore.

I took the pic of Ethan, Dre and Danimal with Sheryl's camera.

Danimal just got engaged by the way. You don't want to know about Ethan.

And the thing to do with the pots - give them back to the original. It's their fish pot. (except

You'll never find Turner, so give his pot to Lupe's mom.

---or---

Let's auction them off within the lines and do something suitable with the proceeds. Like by beer.

I want the knife back that belonged to my old man that I put into the Turner line a few years ago if it hasn't been lost.

Any other ideas?

This is Scanlan. I guess I don't really think about it much anymore. Heck- it has been 10 years for me. But whenever I see something like these pictures or come across old grodes, an ax handle, my ashes, good memories flood back and I realize just how important that part of my life is.

FWIW- I am married and on November 11th my daughter Madelyn (Maddie) Riley Scanlan was born.

Adding my name to the list.

Something about November sets the mind to wandering back through the years to the glory that was Bonfire.

Wow, just stumbled upon this site. As an old Moses Hall Crew Chief (Johnson 84)- nickname Earl - it's great to see these pics! So who ended up with the pot? What about the axe handle?

Just found this, I'm class of 10 luckily I got to experience it before they kicked us all out. As far as for the pot's not sure last I heard from the chiefs they still had them but where trying to figure something out to do with them.
