I brought a buddy (not an ag) and his two sons to CS for game this weekend. Last night we went to the memorial with boys aged 5,6,7 and 8.
I explained the significance of the memorial and stressed no horseplay. The boys were genuinely interested in each tribute and gravitated toward centerpole after completing the perimeter.
My buddy and I walked up on them contemplating how a cross made of loose coins had occured on the central plaque.
One of the boys then suggested we pray and the boys, without our guidance, proceeded to recite the Lord's prayer aloud, while kneeling.
Everyone could feel the presence of God without a word spoken after.
