All kidding aside, I am glad to see the additional step of organization and I will be out there again this year, like I have for every year since off campus started up in '02 (holy crap, this will be my 9th to work on!), and I'll likely bring some other deads with me (you know how we like to play Lazarus for First Cut).

Here's to hoping First Cut is on Oct 4.

just so you newbies know...this is not a good idea at all.

Not to mention you probably lost 98% of the readers at "Crocker bonfire".

Go talk to Coker, Yantis, Ellis, Dabney, etc... and then please publicly state the consensus once you rethink this idea.

Post as yourselves all you want, but don't try and make any "official" posts here.

There is, in fact, a reason for order... Right now I forsee the new boys inheriting a little more "damage control" than necessary.

I don't think this is a horrible idea, especially if they intend to use it as they had originally said.

I've seen it stated several time that there needs to be some sort of nonbiased, nonopinionated voice on here with the sole purpose of informing. And I believe that's what they've created this for.

TR and Square, I tend to agree with some of what both of you say. I don't think it's that bad of an idea if they post news and info as individuals and not "Crocker Newbies". I know the admin reads these boards and knows that certain dorms still pass down their Bonfire lines, however, there's no need to bring any un-needed attention to it.

It's been said before and people and the organization have had to learn from mistakes. If there's an "official" name that makes it known, then there's no confusion. This way nobody thinks that any individual is speaking on behalf on bonfire.

I'm sorry you don't like it V, but it seems other people, including myself don't think it's such a bad idea...come to think of it...maybe that's why you think it's a bad idea.

Just so that we are all clear....

This "Official" CrockerTAMC user DOES NOT speak for nor represent Student Bonfire. I'm not saying ignore, ban, or delete. Just simply making it clear that info coming through this account will not be "official" in regards to SB as a whole.

We have talked about creating an account similar to this for SB, but other things seem to priority over that and the discussion falls through the cracks. The current plan is to get better at keeping the website updated with pertinent info and directing interested parties there.

In the meantime, any official release of info will probably go through my account or one of the other Board member's account with a proper notice that this is an official release. Or if the Reds reactivate their accounts, one of them may take it on.
