I guess this gives us an idea of the timeline. Depending on how far away Logan was from having to be re-elected, season 6 could take place a couple of years after season 5. Poor Jack...

I am ok with this, I like his character okay. Plus, while the opposite worked well in season 5, I'd rather Jack have an ally in the Presidency.

If this takes place 2-3 years in the future, I don't know if people realize how old Jack is in the 24 universe. With all the time lapses between seasons (18 months after season 1, 3 years after season 2, 18 months after season 3, 18 months after season 4, say 2 years after season 5). That makes Jack like 46-47 years old if you graciously say he was 35ish in season 1 (he did have a daughter who was 17-18yrs old).

Gettin kind of old to be saving the world by himself. They're gonna have to replace him with Donald Sutherland by season 9.

1. Kill about 200+ Chinese (Since he'll have to escape from Chinese Prison or something)

Despite being a cast member of the new ABC drama The Nine, Kim Raver revealed at the TCA Summer Press Tour on Tuesday that she will be reprising her role of Audrey Raines on the sixth season of 24, debuting in January.

Until she is killed off at the end of hour one/beginning of hour two.

if the season is far enough in the future that wayne palmer is president, bauer will likely have long escaped chinese custody.

yeah, that seems like a ridiculously long time for Jack to have been kidnapped by the Chinese.

I was wondering what had happened to Wayne Palmer since he just kind of disappeared after the bank owner episode. I think he will make a good President.

I'm not a 24 watcher, but I don't think they're all that concerned with it. How old is Bart Simpson? How many Christmases and birthdays has he seen?

Um, he's a cartoon.

This is the SAME Los Angeles that takes only 15 minutes to get anywhere. The first part of the show will be some terrorist scientist inventing a chemical that makes it so you never age, then Jack Bauer shooting him, and taking it for himself.
