I havent seen bring out the dead...I guess because I don't know anyone who's actually seen it

Is the tv show Alice based on Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore?

Yes, the t.v. show was based on the movie, but they are really nothing alike. In the movie, its more about Alice and her son's travels on the road after her truck-driver husband is killed in an accident. She is going to L.A. to become a singer. The last 20 minutes of the movie take place at the diner where she takes a job and meets a man (Kris Kristofferson). She has to decide if she is going to stay with the man or follow her dream.

Taxi Driver is a great movie.

It is about The Band's farewell concert. It includes footage from the concert and then interviews with the band taken two years later in 1969. Old Marty was the one that directed it is why I brought it up. It is pretty interesting if you like The Band.

The Last Waltz sets a bar for concert/band movies. It is outstanding in my opinion. It strikes a good balance between the live music and band/musician interviews. Just happened to catch in on one of the HD channels a month or two ago by chance. Glad I did!
