Houston area Ags, if you are a fan of Beatles music you might like to check out the Beatles tribute band “Abbey Rode”. They will be at the Ginger Man on St. Patrick’s Day (Thurs 3/17) from 7PM to 11:30PM. These guys do not look, dress or talk like the Beatles but they handle their music very well. I know one of the guys in the band so I went to see them Saturday night and they put on a pretty good performance. If you are a Beatles fan I don’t think you will be disappointed.

I've seen them several times. They are really good. I was surprised the first time I saw them.

I like them. Their music is a resonable facsimile thereof.

I guess my answer would be that Beatles music is probably much better to party to than the Irish music I am familiar with. I think St. Patty's Day is the biggest of the year at the Ginger Man and they probably thought it would go over good or wouldn't have scheduled the gig.

Maybe the bagpipe band comes on before the Beatles band.
