I have an opportunity to buy season one and two on dvd from a buddy for 20 bucks, they any good?

Both for 20 bucks? That, my friend, is a steal. Even at 20 each, they're easily worth it. Watching on DVD (as opposed to over air, one per week) is the way to go. But be prepared to be quite unproductive for a few days as the show is highly addictive.

there are 3 seasons on DVD and the 4 season is now showing on Mondays at 8...

i think barooz will f up the terrorists efforts at some point, but i don't think it will be a huge end of the day thing - just more of a twist along the way that foils something (but not all) that the terrorists were trying to do. all of the seasons evolve a ton between the early episodes to the end, and it's too early to know what the story will be like after another 12 hours or so.

24 is quite possibly one of the best (if not the best) show ever on TV. I lok forwad to Jack Bauer's adventures every season.

The wife and I are hooked and have it Tivo'd every week (it even gets the ultimate "Save Until I delete" status)

$20 for each of season 1 & 2 are defnitely worht it!

24 rocks. I'm enjoying this season with the new cast. It's very reminiscent of the way season 1 was. Fresh and new.

Nothing on tv comes close to "The Jack Bauer Power Hour."

Man, killing the teenage girl was one thing, but then the mom shooting her dead body just to fool the father floored me. Kinda hardcore, even for this show.

THe mom rocks! Evil or not, her character is fascinating

I watched season one and then quit watching it after that. By about hour 18 I was tired of it but had already invested so much time into it. I found it to be very soap opera-ish. His daughter got kidnapped like 3 times in one day. His wife got amnesia.

Well, Fox has confirmed that President Palmer will return for the final 6 hours of the season this year. No details on what he'll be doing. Tony and Michelle will also be making appearances throughout the season. There is an additional rumor(unsubstantiated) that Kim might be showing up at some point in the season...but what we really want to know is this: "Will the Mountain Lion be showing up as well?"

AgEfan- I quit watching Season 1 for those reasons and never really saw how it played out. However, I gave Season 2 a chance and it hooked me back in. While you still have to put up with some farfetched garbage, I think the stories have improved from Season 1. The scrubbing of characters for this season, i.e. Jack is really the only substantive carryover from previous seasons, will help it even more

Over the past 2 months, I watched the entire season 1, and am now in the middle of season 2.
I understand where you are coming from on Season 1, but it all makes sense when you watch the last 2 episodes.

By the way, if you like 24, I believe you should like Alias as well. I'm hooked to both!

That was a great episode tonight. Loved the beginning and the end especially.

The women are so evil on this show. Trust no one.

Someone doing what Aisha Tyler has done so far, would have gotten caught by now. You don't walk into a secure govt. facility like this (even if you have clearance) and start hacking passwords and blackmailing people. Given the number of moles and double agents in CTU over the years, you think they would be extra vigilant.

yeah, I'm not sure what to think about aisha tyler yet. I mean, another mole? but after listening to the commentary on season 3 w/ keifer and howard gordon, they're very well aware of the fans reacting that way (which was one of the reasons Gael turned out to be a double mole, for lack of a better phrase). its most likely not that simple, although we'll have to see.

btw, nobody does big action sequences like 24. its amazing what they're able to put together on what you know is not nearly as much prep time as a film would be able to do.

There you go, Barooz...didn't take any crap...All I have to say is that was great. He is my favorite so far...Now all he has to do is kill his father...

I knew Behrootz was going to be a hero in this thing. I hope he kills his parents next!
