Widow's Bay just broke the record for the most Emmy wins by a comedy series in a single year which is 14! Most notably, they have won all their 6 nominations for tonight including:
1. Outstanding Writing for a Comedy
2. Outstanding Directing for a Comedy
3. Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy (Stephen Root as Wyck)
4. Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Kate O'Flynn as Patricia)
5. Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy (Matthew Rhys as Mayor Tom)
6. Outstanding Comedy Series

Any good John Mulaney bits? I've only seen a little bit of his standup but I loved his mid-awards rant about Field of Dreams or when he went into a tangent explaining the Fugitive.

For Widow's Bay.. Is it really good? Sure! The most Emmys for any comedy ever? huh? It was a fun show and a solid B+ to A- to me, not a record breaking endeavor. I don't think it ranks up there with the all time greats, but it also checked a lot of boxes so was eligible for a very wide array of categories.
