I always loved looking forward to the Fort Worth Auto Show and Fort Worth Fire hockey games every year.

Yeah, the Shriner's Circus was always cool too.

Semi-related but I always enjoyed seeing the FTAB march through downtown Fort Worth in the 90's when they played TCU in Fort Worth.

Saw Donald Curry win the WBA welterweight belt in 83, Van Halen on the 5150 tour in 86, and U2 Joshua Tree tour in 87 (it was the show that BB King came out and did "When Love Comes to Town")

Good memories...

Fire games at Will Rogers were awesome, along with rodeos and the motocrosses. A coliseum filled with 2 stroke exhaust was a guaranteed headache.

they are rebuilding it though right? its just the current building is being torn down?

They are adding more convention center space but I don't believe a new arena space will be built. Dickies Arena is more than sufficient for acts that want a west DFW metro option. And in a few years there will be 2 new arenas on the Dallas side of town. And then numerous smaller arenas/concert halls that already exist in the area.

Hard to believe Zeppelin played there 4 times.

Was at the U2 show. To this day it is still a top 5 concert for me.

Damn. While I don't live there anymore, I have some great, vivid memories of that place as a kid. Both of my grandparents worked there. RIP.

From my understanding it's just the arena. They are going to replace it with nice new conference room space. Not sure if they are going to redo the rest of it.
