• some idiot keeps yelling "poser!" at Eddie right before the encore. he just gets ignored
• a guy walks up to our fearless videographer as he's walking out and asks "did you get that whole thing? can I have your address?"
• Eddie awkwardly dribbling a basketball around the stage (and never missing a note)

I had also forgotten that two of my favorite Pearl Jam songs were never on one of their albums.

I liked the preview of Outshined he gave. "But it's sung better"

I recently found a ticket stub I kept from when Pearl Jam opened for Soundgarden in 92. And then I found this image of the poster from the show.

yep...in my mind, PJ was just playing the entire Ten album at this show, but they had a couple unreleased songs (at the time) that ended up on the Singles Soundtrack. Could have easily been "Twelve"

I remember a buddy turning me on to PJ....before even hearing about Nirvana. It blew me away.

And just like that memories come flooding back from countless concerts in the early to mid 90's. I don't remember my friends and I being that calm at any concerts back then.

I must have listened to that CD thousands of times since then. A lot of those songs are still on my current playlists.

That was awesome. Sounded great even through the recording of a VHS camera so I'm sure it was 100x better actually being there. I saw them in 93 in OKC and can't remember how good they sounded. I partied pretty hard in those days and wasn't too sober at that show. I bought an awesome green long sleeve long john material shirt with Pearl Jam embroidered on the chest at that show. My girlfriend at the time some how ended up with that when we broke up. I actually ran into her at Academy last summer. I should've asked her what she did with my PJ shirt 20 years later.

I see them now every time they go on tour in this part of the country and it's always good.

My sister's boyfriend in the late 80's early 90's was a musician and I remember him telling me way before we were hearing any of these bands that there was a music scene brewing out in Seattle that was going to be big. He talked about wanting to move out there at the time.

the album has 11 tracks.. not 10.

10 was mookie blaylocks number, nothing to do with song count.

Don't know that we will ever have such geographical synergy in sounds anymore. From motown to southern rock to the grunge scene and countless other genre/sub-genre it always seemed that musical tastes kind of centered around a highly dense talent group that created a particular style or sound before. Now it is all so universally available almost instantly that it is hard to see it develop like it used to.

I love a ton of music, but there are very few bands that where the first time I heard a song by that band, I was immediately hooked.

Pearl jam is not even one of them. Only band from that era that did that for me was AIC, and maybe STP.

Very common for music, but somehow not common for other forms of art. We usually like a movie, book, musical, or comedy act the first time you see it (not always, but usually). But music is different for whatever reason.

Pretty awesome and also hilarious how none of the crowd knew at that moment just how huge and influential PJ would become
