Was looking for something to watch and saw "THE DINK" on apple tv. I love Jake Johnson (Nick, from new girl), so I gave it a shot. At first, I thought it was going to be cheesy as hell, like a Balls of Fury to tennis or Happy Gilmore. I was surprised to find it wasn't at all and actually had a story. The pickleball matches are pretty funny. Having never played pickleball before, I felt the same way he did towards the people playing. Mary Steenburgen, for being 73 years old, is adorable in this.

Wife and I watched it last weekend and enjoyed it. It has some good laughs.

I definitely enjoyed this. A couple of laugh out loud moments. And the fact that the pickleball movie was taking slight jabs at pickleball was great. Plus McEnroe in the end

McEnroe was awesome! I think my faves were the two older women trash talking in his first match, especially in regards to "the kitchen".

I guess I'll be the dissenting opinion… thought it was awful. I was hoping for a sports comedy but it turned into a RomCom between a relationship of a 40 year old dude and an 80 year old pickleball lady (who admittedly, does look great for her age). I was hoping for more balls of fury or dodgeball.

Same here. Didn't think it was awful but yes more of a rom com with PB just in the background.

It looks good from the previews. I'm glad to hear a real person say they liked it. I'll definitely put it on my list.

We started watching it with the kids last week. After 5 minutes we regretted it, but couldn't turn away.
Thought it was a TV show at first not realizing it was a movie.
