I missed this the first go round and started watching last night on the recommendation from a friend. I looked it up on IMDB and saw that Jonathan Tropper was a co-creator and since I liked "Your Friends and Neighbors" so much, I thought I would give it a shot. 3 episodes in, I'm really liking it. Even giving off some "Justified" vibes, although that show is in a whole different ballpark.

First few seasons are very good.

Just finished season 2. This has been a very good series up to this point. I find myself thinking at least once an episode while either Hood is dishing it out or he's taking it "Man, that's gotta hurt." I wish dark haired Ava would come back in present day.

Loved this show back in the day. Even now, I feel like most people haven't heard of it, though it's slowly become more popular. Just amazing fighting scenes, Lili Simmons, and crazy entertaning villians.... I tried to get into Warrior by the same creator and liked it, but I got distracted. Anyone have any insight on if its worth restarting and finishing??

I loved Banshee back in the day. It was a good show - maybe I'll have to rewatch it. Back then, I watched Banshee and Strike Back and they were both excellent.

I'll keep Warrior in mind for when I finish Banshee. Started on season 3 this afternoon and it may be my favorite so far. That fight between Burton and Nola…whew!

On summer break so I binged the rest of season 3...very satisfying. Interesting set up for season 4. Watched the first 15 or so minutes.

Hoon Lee is in both Banshee and Friends and Neighbors. Definitely 2 different types of characters

Just finished the series last night.

Season 4 was a different vibe from the other seasons, but I ended up liking Bunker as one of the officers.

The white supremacist back story line seemed to drag out more than it needed to.

The constant flashbacks the first few episodes began to get a bit tedious.

Not enough Sugar.

But it definitely exceeded up to my zero expectations going in. I did not know about Antony Starr before the series, but I'm a fan now. Will give "The Boys" a check out, but first I'm going to see if I like "Warrior" first. Funny that I mentioned this about the similarities between Justified and they were both on around the same time. One had better writing, the other had better action sequences; both were equally epic series.

Maybe one day we will get another season of Justified.

They did put out another season of Justified, and it tanked. Justified: City Primeval

If you enjoyed Justified, Check out Deadwood. Think of it as Justified wit, in the old west, with an HBO level of sensor (meaning NONE).

The language alone is excessive, and add in the violence and sex, it is a lot, but such a great show.

zip90 - should have clarified a bit more...a season continuing on the last 10 minutes of City Primeval...about the only redeeming part of that season.

It's hard. They ended the series just fine, so opening it back up would be something completely new and away from any of Leonard's novels. I may start Deadwood if I don't catch on to Warrior.

I just recently watched all 4 seasons of Banshee. I liked it a lot.

I have one small complaint though. I thought they tried to squeeze too many storylines in season 3. The heist of the military facility would have been a great season by itself.

Deadwood is awesome.
