Nothing. i'm an old and will need to pee if I drink anything, so I refrain from liquids 3 hours before and up through the movie.

Since I can't drink anything, I also don't want to eat anything.

Unpopular opinion, but i don't think food should be allowed in movie theaters. The smell of pickles and the sound of 100 people around me all eating popcorn drives me insane.

I don't go to the movie theater much...

If it is early enough in the day, a large drink with refills. However, I need to use the RunPee app to see the best time for bathroom breaks if I'm getting a drink with refills.

I don't eat at the movies unless I'm at Alamo. If I'm with my kids, I'll let them get stuff, but I'm not crazy about popcorn and don't really eat candy.

In the old days, it was Kettle Corn and Coca Cola.

These days, we sneak in macadamia nuts and a Hu bar. We buy a bottle of water to go with these.

Wife brings her "tactical" purse with the hidden middle pocket for her gun... which also nicely holds a flat plastic flask of wine for her AND a flask of bourbon for me.

At the bar, we'll order a beer for me and wine for her with an additional cup of ice, then grab a large popcorn at the concession.

So, we're very healthy and conscious eaters who cook at home 99% of the time and make most everything from scratch. No soda or sweets in the house (except for TruFru chocolate covered strawberries - FTW!). But when I go to the movies there is a singular meal I get EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Simple cheese nachos (the more of the glowing processed cheese the better) with extra jalapenos, and a large Slurpee (Suicide style!). No exceptions.

Nothing. I do not eat or drink anything while watching a film, I cannot emphasize the word "film" enough. When I am afforded the time to actually go to a theatre to see a film, I go to to enjoy the art. I do not go to eat or drink. I believe it takes away from the experience. Yes, I am a snob. Yes, I am aware this is different and does not sound fun. I am there to be entertained and experience art, not to have fun and eat processed high fructose corn syrup in various forms.

When I go to the AMC/Cinemark, maybe a Coke if anything at all. When I go to the Alamo or Star Cinema Grill, I will get a drink and either a burger basket, chicken strips, or a pizza.

Learned this technique from my brother…. Once you try you'll never go back to plain popcorn…. Take a few Hot Tamales, pop'em in your mouth and then a handful of popcorn right after…. Chew'em together
