I've been on a special forces, Delta Force, Navy Seal, etc. podcast binge recently. They often talk about the Mogadishu guys. That was the generation that taught the GWOT special forces. This is on my watch list.

I never miss an opportunity to be the "please read the book too" guy, but Mark Bowden's book is fantastic.

Love the in the trailer we get a "That Black Hawk... was down" soundbyte.

Reading it now.

Been on my list to read for years then when I saw this coming out I made it a point to read it before watching.

Almost 1/2 way through and it is as advertised.

I started a thread about this documentary in the F16 to avoid politics

they did an awful job explaining what Shughart and Gordon were doing

they made it seem like they were ordered in

not emphasizing that they were demanding to go in on a suicide mission to help their friends

heroes!

Weird. I thought the show was good in pretty much every other way.
