I didn't hear a lot about this one; but saw it was playing at the matinee and as I'm a big fan of both Kinnaman and Strong, decided to watch it.

It was a good movie with a refreshingly new theme; a detective loses his hearing after an injury in the line of duty and has to learn how to cope it with it on the job. Mark Strong is obviously an amazing actor and Joel Kinnaman really plays the part of the detective struggling with how to do his work while going deaf.

The ending is extremely predictable but the movie is still enjoyable, special bonus Mekhi Phifer supporting role, haven't seen him much since Forest Gump.

3/5 stars.

I thought maybe you'd gotten this mixed up with Silent Night, but I'll be damned - Kinnamen did two deaf movies in two years.

Edit: oh that one he's mute, this one he's deaf.
