I JUST rewatched the original this weekend! Probably because I saw that it was leaving Netflix soon, and figured what the hell.

Adam, please just leave this iconic movie alone. It's one the greatest of all time(not just comedy). Just leave it at that.

I mean... Julie Bowen still looks fantastic.

They should make Happy the villain and Shooter the hero.

Or have the whole plot be Happy assembling an Ocean's 11 team of minor characters from the first movie to lead an all-out assault on the nursing home to rescue his grandmother from the evil clutches of Ben Stiller.
Although that lady must surely be dead in real life.
That's another problem with Happy 2 - half the cast is dead.

She was a huge highlight in Horrible Bosses as well.

From what I've read Shooter has heard what Adam wants to do with this movie and is pretty excited about it….

So that at least has me intrigued

It will probably be bad but I'll still watch it.

You weren't joking. She's 54 now and was 26 in the first movie. And its not the dated, mid-90s haircut. She's just super hot.

If Shooter is on board, I think it has the chance to be fun.

I'll definitely watch this one.

This is a hard thing to pull off.

Lean on the original to much and it becomes hacky.

Make it stand apart from the original, then who cares.

It's a tough line walk, but I trust Adam Sandler.

If it were me, I'd have the opening scene being Ben Stiller's character getting out for prison after serving time for elder abuse.

That would be entertaining. With Virginia now the head of the PGA Tour. Shooter and his kid become the underdog gunslingers and the Gilmore family have become PGA royalty. But then they have to work together against a greater enemy. I second the 'Cobra Kai' vibes.

How about Happy's kid can sink a putt from anywhere inside 50 yards, but can't get out of the tee box until Will Smith gives him a jigger. But it's not Bagger Vance Will Smith, it is Oscars Will Smith that slaps everyone with his dad's wooden hand.
