If only Norm MacDonald had lived to see this 
There were lots of folks who believed that Norm's consistent, weekly Simpson "updates" rubbed up against the nerves of an NBC Exec that was friends with Simpson and led to Norm being fired from SNL.
I never had a problem with Norm consistently and deservedly going after Simpson and dropping in a disparaging remark at some point during Weekend Update. I always liked Norm's style.
Today's news was eerie as I had just told my daughter yesterday afternoon about who "OJ Simpson" was and what he was actually most famous for... My daughter sent me a text this morning, about the news.
