Jack Black has had a tale is two careers. A lot of serious films until High Fidelity in 2000. Then it started to turn into Jack Black being Jack Black, and we are all better off because of it.

One of my favorites from the Tonight Show. I often wonder what' it's like for a guy like JB or a Zach Efront or the kid that did the Elton John movie who can sing so well and isn't even a real singer professionally ((Tenacious D aside). So much friggin' talent in one person.

When he was in town filming Bernie I got to be in a scene with him. It was shot in Bastrop and we were suppose to be breaking ground on a new addition to the church. Troy and I were both in the scene with him. Before we started filming he was rehearsing a song he was supposed to sing in a later scene. He asked how many songs does it take for a movie to be called a musical and I immediately responded "4". He looked at me and asked if I was serious and I said "no, I just made it up." He cracked up laughing.

He seems like a genuinely good guy.

I just got done watching one of those videos where actors break down some of their most iconic roles and watched Jack blacks video….apparently they basically wrote this whole movie around him knowing he'd be perfect for it and boy were they right!
