SIAP

Has anyone gone to the live Bluey play? It is coming to town while the wife is away and I'm looking to take the kids. Appreciate any feedback.

No but heard great things. We were going to go to the Austin show last year, bought seats WAY in advance, then the show ended up being the week #2 was due. Doh.

I've got tickets for mine at Bass Hall.

Reviews are generally very "meh", but doubt kids will care.

There will be a few good jokes. But it's hard to replace the Bluey experience in live action. But a few good jokes and familiarity is all young kids need from a live show.

That's what I've heard. I'm sure you are right and the kids will love it regardless. I'm going to pull the trigger.

Jealous you are going to Bass. One of my favorite venues (and cities) of all time.

I went in Houston last year. We had VIP tickets and sat near the front. The VIP package is overpriced and wasn't necessary... The heart of the performance is as you'd expect from a Bluey episode. It's cute and my kid had a good time.

For me, though...it was a bunch of goofy puppets. It was done well and I'm glad we checked it off the list for my kid's sake, but at the pricepoint, it's not on my list of things to do again.

Thanks. Your username made me laugh. In B/CS we lived off College Main next to this literal crackhead named Will. We called him C-Dub. He never knew why.

Saw it at the Kennedy Center in 2022. 3 year old loved it. Worth it to see her excitement and enjoyment for a stage show. Like CDub06 said, it's a longer Bluey episode in puppet form. Great music, good puppeteering, and wholesome. Unlike CDub, we seriously looked in to seeing it again when it came back to the Kennedy Center last fall and poor timing on our part was the only reason we didn't.

We didn't do the vip but it was at two different venues near me and the price difference was staggering. Pricing seems to vary considerably by venue.

We enjoyed it and kids loved it. Felt a little short was only minor complaint wife and I had.

Kids loved it. It was a good time. Short, but that was probably for the best considering my kids' attention spans. The audience wide keepy uppy was great. My kids are 5 and 7, and I've never heard them laugh so hard. I've also never seen so many adults crushing 24oz beers at 11:00 am on a Sunday when football wasn't involved.

The biggest thing we got out of it is that our 6 year old uses the word "flat" when batteries in something die.

My kid is a teen

But go see this with your kids that love Bluey.

Demon Spawn loved seeing Yo Gabba Gabba when they came to Houston about 12 years ago.

He still remembers we drove to Houston to see that show in concert

I admit, it was awesome
I love Yo Gabba Gabba.
