Anyone interested in this show? I stopped watching TWD the season when Rick decided not to kill Negan.

I watched the first episode of this show on Sunday for some reason, maybe because I always liked Daryl. The first question, which they didn't answer, was how he got across the Atlantic. That seemed like an impossible task in itself during that time.

Anyway, I'll probably give it a few more episodes before I decide to watch the entire season or not.

I caught up on the last two seasons after taking a break, the finale was decent but not nearly as good as the early seasons.

I may watch this at some point as Darryl was easily the coolest character on the show, but the fact they just launched like 4 new spinoff series at once is kind of off putting.

I recorded it, but haven't watched yet. Upon seeing the trailer, I asked myself, "How the hell did he get to France?". I'm surprised to hear they didn't answer it in the premier.

As another poster said, Dead City was pretty solid.

They kinda touch on how he got there but it's brief. Probably learn more specific details in future episodes. I took from what was showed in the first one, he was captured by The Cause in America and but in a ship going to France.

Looks like they are doing experiments in France. I also think Darryl is searching for Rick Grimes & that's what lead him to get captured.

LMAO. I'm trying to figure out if they are trying to say that Daryl crossed the Atlantic in a canoe or that was just a life boat he ended up in. Seems like he was saying something about some people kidnapping him on a boat or something.

I feel like it might help for Dead City as there was a whole lot of their relationship in the last season or so, but someone has probably done a YouTube edit summarizing all that to get you caught up.

strangely enough I stopped watching at the exact time as well- it took three years to get to the final showdown with Negan and he puts him in a jail cell..

that was the last episode I ever watched

Surprised it was only six episodes. I'm assuming Daryl decided to stay in France. Thought it was a pretty lame ending.

I did like the adrenaline fueled zombies. That fight was pretty cool.

I did not like that they skipped over how they escaped from the prison though. I had to rewind twice thinking I fast forwarded past it. One minute a couple of them are trying to get a truck running while Daryl is somewhere else trying to find Isabelle and Laurent. When he finds them they are on the other side of a locked gate. Then after the commercial break everyone is driving safely down the road. A lot had to happen before they were even close to being safely away from the prison.

It looks like they are going to follow it up with a season of Carol looking for Daryl. That doesn't interest me at all. Was really hoping Rick was the one who got out of the car.
