Who has seen it yet? I went yesterday and have to say it was terrible but a heck of a good time. Kind of like the post Tokyo Drift F&F movies: you're gonna have a lot more fun of you completely suspend and disbelief or reasoned thought.

It's sitting at 28% on Rotten Maters with an audience score of 72%.

The first one is fun, glad there is a sequel.

Took my son Saturday.

Not as good as the original but still worth the ticket price if you are looking for mindless fun for a few hours. I would say there is much less comedic moments in this sequel mainly due to the absence of Rainn Wilson's character. Also the bad guys are cartoonishly bad and there is a Scooby Doo villain moment that made me cringe but my 14 year old son still thought it was great.

Dumb as hell but pretty fun. Basically a bigger budget Sharknado.

I'll see it eventually at home.

The world needs more movies like Tremors. Dumb fun with a decent actor or two in the mix.

Same, no interest in going to the theater for this one. And I enjoyed the first one for what it was.

My older two are dying to see this and so am I. I like it when I can just be entertained for a couple of hours.

How is this for 9 year olds? I let my son watch the first, not concerned with it being to scary (Jaws is his favorite movie), but my rule is no sex/nudity.

I guess there may be some violence and language but I don't recall any tiddies. My 11 year old loved it.

I won't get a chance to see this in theaters but will buy/rent as soon as it's out on digital. It's the kind of movie where you know exactly what you're getting and I'm here for that.

I loved the first one. But neither are worth today's theater prices. I'll wait and catch it on streaming.

I saw it, and it was not bad. That movie is for sure not on the list of my fav movies, but still a good one to watch

LOL. I took my older boy to Logan in 2017 when he was 11. We get home and he tells my wife he saw boobs in it. And if I recall, it was like a 1-2 second glimpse of a girl flashing her tays at Wolverine.

Wife clutches her pearls at me and I'm like "they also decapitated and gutted multiple people are you concerned about that too?"

Again, LOL.

This is the most American stance ever. And yeah, I am sort of the same way with my kids.

Sex/nudity not much of a problem these days. But I've had a few "oh ****" moments when I show them some 80s action movie forgetting about some of the content.

I know it's a dumb argument, but I'm not as worried about my kids becoming violent murderers as I am them becoming porn addicts.

It's a leap I realize but I'm not going to purposely put nudity in front of them. I'm not going beat myself over the head for them accidentally seeing boobs, if I miss a skip.

I think that is pretty reasonable. Also as a father of teenage boys I am concerned about porn. I'm not waving a bible in their face about it. My concern is the science. That level of dopamine spikes rewires brain chemistry in young people. Seeing some tiddys is one thing. Hardcore is another. Good on you.

My biggest gripe is the species name, Megalodon, is way cooler than the title of the movie, "The Meg." I know the book was named "The Meg" but Megalodon would have been so much better since the first thought that comes to mind is a spinoff of Meg from Family Guy when I hear "The Meg".

With that nerdy gripe out of the way I can't wait to watch the second movie! The first was fun and it sounds like the second is up the same alley.

The first one showed up in my feed last night as I was looking for something to watch. I guess I now know why. Never seen the first one. Now I kind of want to.

I saw it today and loved it. It was a goofy fun thrill ride that reminded me of an updated version of the good 50's B-monster movies I loved like Beast from 20,000 Fathoms or Valley of Gwangi. Just go to the movies for escapism and enjoy it!

This movie is bad ass. Way better than the first and a just a fun movie. Highly recommend, but of course, check your brain at the door. Enjoy this great popcorn movie!

I'm a little surprised by most of the replies to this movie. I went with a group of 4 to see it last week and we were cracking up how bad this movie was. Even with putting your brain in park, this movie was laughably terrible.

We all know it's stupid. Nobody thought they were going in to watch American Beauty.
