Has anyone been? We drove to Austin yesterday afternoon to see Jim Norton in the Fatman room. Jim and openers put on a great show. A lot smaller venue than I assumed. Just so happened that we got there a bit early and were first in line, so when they start admitting you get pick of seating. First come first serve for GA. We were right up next to the stage on Left side. Great side because was super close to the comic, but they all tended to pick on folks on the R side of the stag lol. Had one drunk heckler that they drug out but Jimmy so great off the cuff that it didn't stop him a bit. They have that place run like a well oiled machine. Wait outside in a line till 30 min before the show or so, they let you in a few at a time, like 4-5, guide you to front, put your phone in Yondr? bag, escort you in and the. At top someone guides you down and seats you. They try to fill up from L to R bottom to top. When all seated you are knee to back and first two rows have a tabke for two, others you share. It's a 2 drink minimum, server gets your card right there and advises prob best to order a double as they might not be back for a bit. Water $8 and counts. Mixed drinks $15. Show starts and when over same military precision getting you back out. Was definitely interesting. First time to a comedy club and was not disappointed. Openers were solid and Jimmy did an hour. I haven't laughed so hard in years. There is a large private parking lot right behind venue so parking and getting to club was easy.

Havent been yet, last comedy show was at the old Cap City before it closed in 2020.

I'd like to go see a show, but both Nick Swardson, Andrew Santino, and Andrew Dice Clay are sold out.

Dont care to see anyone else that has tickets left to sell.

Haven't been to that club but was the only white guy in the first few rows at a show at the Improv once, I ended up being a focal part of the show...ha.

My wife and I have been a few times now. Rogan did a great job with the setup. Not really a bad seat in the house due to Fat Man only holding maybe 250 people. Really want to catch a show in Little Man, which is even smaller.

Went to Kill Tony last night and it was a great show with Jim Norton. I was able to snag VIP booth seats when they went on sale back in March. You're near the back but can see above all the GA seats. The GA seats aren't too bad, but it's fairly packed in with 4 to a table.

Really wished we had been in town when Chappelle dropped in last Thursday. Saw him at Moody on Friday. That was a helluva show with Dave being Dave.

It is vastly better than the Vulcan.

Need to get down to the Mothership.
Say want you want about Rogan, but he has rapidly turned Austin into a comedy hotspot.
I saw him do about a 45 minute set at the Creek & Cave last fall & he was great.

How do you guys get tix for these shows. Seems like most anyone noteworthy are sold out including kill Tony shows until the end of time. I haven't seen them drop release times on instagram or Facebook or anything but I don't follow super closely.

Is there really no secondary sales ? Scalpers on the street before shows ?

We went a couple of months ago.

It was mixed a bag. I think there were 6-7 comedians in total. One was bad, and the closer who had the longest time, was just god awful....I mean BAD.

I have no idea how he got a recommendation to close or if he had done a show before. No one was laughing, and he just spiraled into random rants and finger pointing. He told the audience they were stupid for not getting his jokes. We had a baby sitter at 3hrs, so we left before the end with a bunch of other people.
