I scanned, but didn't search for anything on the new season.

I know the past few seasons haven't been great, though they had moments. That said, holy hell...these first two episodes were pretty amazing. The first was better than the second, but both could have easily been episodes in season 2 or 3. It gives me hope that we are back on track. I don't know how much longer the show will last, but if the rest of the season can hold up to these two, I'll be happy.

From their podcast, I believe they got back a writing team that was a big part of their heyday. So its like they got the whole writing gang back together

Only watched the first one last night but thought it was one of the best of recent seasons. I've been really disappointed in the past few seasons but I stick around because it's sunny.

Just watched the first 2.

During the first episode I laughed aloud multiple times. Had me thinking "the gang is back".

2nd episode was decent. Maybe like a season 8-10 joint.
Solid start

Took me months to finish last season. Pretty sure I fell asleep during one of the Ireland episodes. Last night was great though! Episode 1 is an instant classic, and episode 2 was fine. I really love the episodes where Charlie is the rational one and is shocked with how stupid everyone else is.

Both were great. Glad to have my favorite show back

They still have a lot of very funny moments and stories in both episodes, but the Mac nut allergy kinda fell flat for me. The idea was funny at first though for sure.

I coulda done without the Mac allergy.

And did the camera shots in episode 2 between Mac & his mom seem really odd? Almost like they shot each of them at different times and then spliced them together?

I thought it was odd that the camera seemed to be hand held. And for me it had that "soap opera" camera look. I thought I disabled that on my tv so it was weird that it looked like I was watching an SNL skit rather than a sunny episode.

I was saying that the idea and initial scene of it was funny and classic its always sunny stuff.
I just thought how it progressed the rest of the episode didn't land for me

well, this week was back to 'meh.' hopefully they didn't blow their load on the first two.

The newest episode has to be an all timer.

The dad from Malcom in the Middle!!

The last two episodes have been some of the best in years.

The Under Pressure episode hit me in my soul.

This season continues to impress.

The season went by way too fast. It's been great.

The McPoyle's stole the show in the bowling episode. Liam is so hilarious to me after watching Jimmi Simpson play such a serious character on Westworld.

Classic Dennis episode to end the season. If anyone listens to the podcast I recall Glenn Howerton sharing a story about being locked out of his car in a parking garage because there was no physical key and the key fob malfunctioned. I'm sure that was part of the influence for the episode.

Overall I give the season a B+. Huge improvement over last season IMO.

This season has had some great throwback-quality moments and episodes.
