Out May 5th.

The original is one of my favorites. Can watch it anytime I'm flipping channels and I see it. Great music. Great cast. Great story.

Part 2 was disappointing.

So, what are your thoughts on part 3?

Well, that's kind of hard to answer...

SINCE NO ONE HAS SEEN IT YET!!

Part 2 was awesome. I am ridiculously excited for this one.

The first one remains #1 on my MCU list of favorite films.
The second one's final act was a letdown for me, Yondu's sacrifice notwithstanding.
The Christmas Special was funny and sweet, and my family watched it just before they came to take Regal Beagle across the rainbow bridge, so there's a real emotional connection there that is going to hit the feels when we go see it.
Very excited for this one.

I actually liked part II better than part I. Looking forward to this one as well.

Part 1 will never be topped. Part 2 had a tough task, but it was still fun and provided some awesome moments. I'm going to enjoy Part 3 no matter what.

The first was never even a thought in my head when it was out in theaters then I redbox'd it on a whim. Knew it was going to be great in the first 2 minutes:

How does it feel to be so wrong?

This scene was damn good:

My 2 letdowns for Part 2 were:
1) The Guardians are so much better all together. I know you split them up to do character development and create different motivations and objectives, but Rocket and Quill should be together as much as possible.

2) The final battle between Starlord and Ego. The final battle in the first one was so tremendous. especially giving the Nova Corps a big slice of the hero pie. Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell reduced to CGI renderings as they shoot lightning, fly around inside a planet, and punch each other is such a superhero movie cliche fight. Pac-Man and the Hoff just felt tacked on for a cheap laugh.

With my initial viewing of each, I thought part 2 was better than part 1. Part 2 doesn't hold up as well to repeat viewings like part 1 does. The first is an all time great comic book movie. The second is solid, but nothing special.

GOTG 1 is all time great

GOTG is in the same camp as Thor:L&T. Tried to copy/go farther on the same things as the predecessor and fell short. Still like it, but there are definitely parts that are just dumb

Really looking forward to part 3.

While I don't rank Vol 1 in my top 5 MCU movies, I think it is fantastic. I re-watched it for the first time in a few years a couple nights ago, and yeah, it remains fantastic.

There is a lot to like in Vol 2. I just think that the movie pales in comparison to Vol 1. It was similar to how I felt watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Great movie, but when compared against Raiders of the Lost Ark, it just doesn't hold up.

We have tickets for Vol 3 on Saturday morning, May 6. Hoping this one will break the MCU's downward streak since Endgame.

How good part 3 is will solely depend on how good the Mix Tape is!

I liked part 2. Some iffy parts, but overall pretty good.

My favorite scene is 2 is Rocket roasting Taserface (especially when he says Scrotum Hat). I laugh irrationally hard at that point.

Part 1 is actually one of my favorite movies of all time. I still remember the first time I saw it.

But yeah, can't wait for this! Definitely my most anticipated post-Endgame MCU movie.

I will actually get to see a screening of Guardians 3 at Disney that later leads to an after hours party at EPCOT for basically unlimited rides of the Guardians ride on May 4th. Super excited.

If this movie turns out meh I'm going to be pretty disappointed. It's like the last hope for a great movie in phase 4 in a big pile of bleh. (Besides Spider-Man but that had a lot of nostalgia going for it)

(Phase 4 has come and gone, my friend. We're in Phase 5 now.)

What is it that people like about this?

I assume this is related to endgame? I heard that was great so watched it but honestly thought it was pretty bad.

Is all this not for me if i didnt like endgame, or should i dive in sometime?
