Anyone else watch this? Season 2 just dropped this week. It isn't one of the better shows on tv or anything (has a YA feel), but it's entertaining enough if given enough time.

Hoping to get a season 3 renewal since the showrunner originally had that planned, although I think they really wrapped up the biggest part of the story with season 2). There's material for even more seasons if they really wanted to since there are many books based in that world, but I don't know if they're a continuation of the main trilogy or just related.

Watching it now. Haven't finished season 2, but it's entertaining enough to keep watching. I'd definitely watch a season 3 at this point.

I really hope they continue with the series. There is a lot of source material because outside of the original trilogy there are 4 more books in the Grishaverse. I really enjoyed the Six of Crows duology.

Leigh Bardugo (the author) also has an adult Paranormal Fantasy book called 9th House. It's about a freshman at Yale who is investigating one of the schools secret societies who appears to be trying to resurrect some dark magic.

Outside of that, Leigh just signed an eight figure deal with MacMillan for 12 books. So I think there is potential for more stuff from her in the future.

If you like the Grisha books (I didn't realize they were made into a series), you might try The Bone Witch trilogy by Ron Chupeco.

I enjoyed season 1 and plan to watch it

Got told about it yesterday at All-Con by one of my cosplay buddies, and def want to watch it now.

I enjoyed season 2 more than the first season.
It's great you won't have to two years between seasons!

It's not amazing but I think it is one of the better fantasy series on the screen. Unfortunately most of the competition is pretty bad.

I think the story is possibly better than the Witcher series but it's a little more feminine and young adult. Has good production value though and is a nice looking show, especially compared to WoT and I would say it's more natural looking than LOTR too.

Outside of GoT most fantasy series are a step below. Witcher and S&B are the best that I can think of unless you want to go animated Vox Machina and Arcane are really entertaining.

It's ok - worth a watch certainly and better than some of its competition. It's very much a young adult series so you have to leave your reality check at the door even more than you would normally for the steampunk/magical fantasy world it is set in. Oh and expect a fair dose of woke content as well. I really liked the costumes they did for this show. Hope whoever was in charge of that gets some industry credit.

I didn't know there was a season 2 out. Thanks. I enjoyed season one and read a few of the books. They did lean a little YA, but you could overlook that.
