Started this the other day and so far it's not bad.

O/U on number of The Witcher posts that will end up in this thread?

The real-life story is pretty fascinating, especially since it remains unsolved.

We've watched 1-1/2 episodes so far, not sure we're going to go any further. Although having Shooter McGavin as the sheriff is fun.

I watched part of the first episode.
Does it get more interesting?

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this series. We kept switching over and over on who we thought the watcher was and we couldn't get enough. I thought it was excellent and am surprised there's not already a thread on this.

it saves me time I would have otherwise spent hoping to find out WHO did it...only to be as frustrated at the end as that family was that moved in there. So thanks Mr. Spoiler.

I really hate the dad in this (Bobby Cannavale). Can't quite put my finger on it but he is annoying as hell and really unlikable for me.

Same, couldn't make it past 1 episode due to him being cast alongside Watts.

This show sucked ass

The "twist" thrown in with the private investigator. Just awful.

You have tunnels under your house and you don't bust through a locked wooden door to see where it leads?

Woulda just ended it at the realtor running down the street.

I think Netflix hires the same person to write an unnecessarily long script each year, and then pawns it off on viewers as being a must see….

Everything about this show sucked.

he's a good side character/villain and I've liked him in a lot of roles, but he can't carry a show

I watched it, and kept waiting for some great twist. Left disappointed, and now tell everybody I can to not watch it. It's terrible and not worth commiting the time.

I have a question......so who the hell was the girl in the bedroom if the private eye's story was all made up so they could get some peace? Did the private eye only make up the part about having previously owned the house but still did the other things like make up the story about the guy killing his family and sneaking the girl in. That part was not clear to me after the funeral scene with the PI's daughter.

One of the many reasons this show sucked. So many unanswered questions and every "twist" fell flat.

Why didn't they just set up a camera in the tunnel?

LOL, if I discovered a tunnel leading into some part of my house and even chased someone through said tunnel to another door, I'd damn sure take a chainsaw to that other door (or a blowtorch if it was metal) to see where it lead. They just kind of gave up on it after the police chief wouldn't help them out there.

This thread cracks me up. Mostly because I just finished and it was bad. And instinctively while watching at the time I had all these questions but overlooked them per giving the show the benefit of the doubt.

Just bad all the way around.

Wife and enjoyed up to the tunnel and the detective telling them to pound sand. We're screaming at the tv. Go to the state troopers. Go to the Sheriff. He said he was friends with the Newark FBI agents, ok find other agents. Barricade the damn tunnel. Blow it up. Buy some weapons. Anything. Just dumb.

Anyone else feel like over the last few years the streaming services (across the board, but most notably HBO and Netflix) present good content, great characters, and compelling stories, but for the life of them can't actually finish them out with a decent ending. So many I have enjoyed up until the end and just had a WTF that was stupid.

It was bad, but we still watched the whole thing (like most everyone else on this thread).

I went to go spoil it for myself, and accidentally ended up reading the plot for a 2022 indie suspense flick by mistake.

I'm not wasting precious minutes of life watching an awful show

I started binging it tonight and have 2 episodes left. I've enjoyed it so far but agree that the entire premise is absurd and no matter what the outcome is, it will not actually make sense. Now for my prediction (keep in mind that I've had a giant rum-and-coke for each episode and am so intoxicated that I had to waste 15 minutes trying to figure out spoiler tags even though I've used them countless times in the past and re-editing this post over and over again so that a sober person might actually understand it):

I think the former homeowner (who may or may not be an actor) that mentioned the tunnels and baby-sacrificing cult is telling the truth. From the moment this show started, I've felt a Roesmary's Baby vibe, and his story fits the mold. I think the whole town is in on it. They're all part of some kind of blood-sucking cult that drinks blood to cure their respective diseases or maintain their youthful health, and they need this house to do it for some reason.

I'm sure I'm wrong because my theory makes no sense at all, but I doubut making sense is a prerequisite for predicting the actual storyline.

So many ridiculous plot holes and just absolutely aimless story and ending.
