I didn't realize this was a remake of a 2018 release until after I watched it, so I went in having no idea what I was going to watch. JG plays an LA police dispatcher during some massive Cali fires, dealing with an active abduction situation that keeps getting more and more complex (and mostly because he's playing a hothead cop with a lot of personal issues).
Jake crushes this role, and it's a good thing because the camera is on his face about 95% of the movie. Think "Phone Booth" / "Rear Window". Pretty dark and unpredictable. Some of the voice acting (particularly the kid) was cringey but overall thought it was a pretty dang good movie.
Anyone else watch it yet?
