Has there been a thread about this podcast yet? It's basically Gravano sitting in a chair talking about his life. For those who don't know, he was the underboss of the Gambino crime family under John Gotti. He had no family members in the mob before him, and was raised in a normal family with good parents, yet was somehow able to go from "made man" to underboss in only 14 years. If you are a fan of mafia movies or TV shows, then you'd love this. He is an amazing story teller and this is about as riveting a podcast as I've come across. At first I wasn't sure if I should believe his stories, but they seem to jive with all other sources I can find. Though he is now 76, he's still a scary dude and makes Tony Soprano come off like a panzy. They could make a series based off of this and it would be amazing. Too bad it's all in the public forum. This isn't part of his podcast, but it gives you an idea of what to expect:

Yep, and he talks all about that too.

Edit: in short, the audio tapes revealed that Gotti was backstabbing Sammy. Then Gotti ordered him to take 100% of the fall so that he (Gotti) could go free. Sammy basically thought "screw you" and flipped.

I've always been a mob junkie so I'm all in on this one.

Sammy the Bull planned and coordinated the hit on Paul Castellano that made John Gotti the boss.

Cool Mob Trivia -- In Goodfellas, Henry mentions that Billy Batts is a made guy in the Gambino family. His Capo? John Gotti.

Henry Hill said that Tommy Desimone was personally killed by Gotti.

I just finished season 1. I wish they made this into a TV series. I think it would be better than the Sopranos. Though I've watched Godfathers 1 & 2, Goodfellas, Casino, The Sopranos, and Narcos, I would not call myself a "mob fanatic". I have not watched any of the Gotti movies or anything like that. I am merely fascinated by historical figures who put their lives on the line for their cause. Whether they are good guys like our Founding Fathers and defenders of the Alamo, complicated figures like Julius Caesar, or clear bad guys like mobsters. Sammy is clearly in this set of people.

What is new in this podcast is the attention to detail. He spends 1.5 hours describing the planning and execution of a single hit. Also he seems like he really wants to explain what Cosa Nostra is. Before I figured it was a weird set of traditions that they followed sorta like us Ags at Kyle field. He goes into much more depth into that. In some ways he is still a strong defender of it, even though he violated it. And he is a natural story teller. In a couple of his videos he insults others mobsters to come to Arizona (where he now lives) that he's waiting for them. And even though he is 76 years old, he's still intimidating as hell.

Love this kind of stuff.

Can you imagine sitting down with him 30 years ago and saying, "30 years from now, you're going to be doing something called a podcast, asking for subscriptions and likes, and telling all of your families secrets…"

He'd of probably had you beaten or whacked for saying a bunch of stuff that doesn't make sense.

This was fantastic. I don't know what it says about me but I could listen to this guy talk about murdering people all day.

Does the podcast end after season 2 episode 5 or are they still coming out with new eps?
