Anyone watch this? This is so great. Rick Rubin and Paul McCartney at a soundboard deconstructing Paul's (mostly Beatles songs) is fascinating. I doubt there is any "new" information in this from an interview standpoint as I'm sure Paul has told all of his stories at some point but Paul is still a great storyteller. My favorite moment so far is in Ep1 when they are diving into While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Rubin pulls apart the song to reveal two very different songs happening at the same time, and Paul starts riffing on the hidden song. I think anyone who loves music would really dig this

Did not know about origins of "Lucy in the Sky". Always thought it was truly drug origination. I really like the intimate feel of this series. McCartney looks great

Didn't know the origin of "Sgt. Pepper", for those who didn't watch it, someone asked him if he wanted some salt and pepper, he heard Sgt. Pepper, thought it was a cool name and used it.

Watched it, was awesome. Wanted more. Can't wait for the Peter Jackson documentary this fall. The footage in the sneak peak was amazing. considering it was from the late 60s.

Yeah he said Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was some nonsense song about Lennon's son Julian drawing a picture of his friend at school. Not LSD (though I am sure there was some "influence").
