Anyone started this series based on the life of Rock Hudson?

Stars Blaine as a young director breaking into Hollywood
It follows Jim Halpert as Rock Hudsons rival and Sheldon as the agent.

So far so good and I love a good early hollywood show

Wife was watching it when I got home from work yesterday. I saw about half and really enjoyed it.

It's completely fictional. Not about rock Hudson at all, though they somehow use him as a character.

There are a few good parts but mostly meh.

Jim Halpert?

This series started with a lot of promise. It did a great job of contrasting the squeaky-clean image of post-WW2 Hollywood with the dark underbelly of the casting couch and the debauchery of the actors' real lives.

Then it turned into a Disney movie where the "good guys" prevail against all odds and 21st century social virtue wins the day. I'm sure the writers and producers pulled a muscle or two patting themselves on the back. Predictable as hell and cheesier than a bowl of queso.
