when you come to the end of the line with a buddy, the only way to say goodbye is to get blind drunk with him.

My favorite scene in the movie.

"Uh oh. Here comes trouble!"

"That Bobby Hogan. Good guy."

Just watched this again for the first time in months. Such a beautiful, fun movie. I don't get how people don't like it unless they went in expecting something entirely different.

Wife and I love Tarantino movies... and we couldn't get past the scene where DiCaprio was sitting and talking to the little girl on set (about an hour into the movie). We pauses, saw how much was left, and just quit trying. We couldn't get into this one.

I'll give it another go if the board thinks we are crazy.

Movie was outstanding....just watched it again yesterday.

A little overboard on the foot fetish, but I may even like it better than Pulp Fiction.

I've found the rewatchability of this to be higher than most of the other Tarantino films. But not in the sense of sitting down for almost 3 hours every time

There are just so many awesome sequences, beautifully staged and shot, with the soundtrack adding the perfect vibe to each.

I haven't looked at how this was broken up on the physical Blu-Ray, but it makes me curious as to how QT divided these sequences. Hell, they almost feel like vignettes, but are obviously part of a larger narrative.

Same, for sure.

There aren't many movies where I Iove
- the overall premise
- the way it is shot
- the casting
- the dialogue
- the feel
- the period/setting
- the acting
- the music
- the message
- the ending

This one checks all the damn boxes.

That's the thing. I wouldn't consider myself a huge Tarantino fan. I respect his abilities very much and I think he is one of the best in the business, but most of his movies, for all of their visual spark and clever writing, don't make me feel anything.

This movie really moved me and also had me chuckling. I get what it meant to him, especially, and that also got me.

The scene where he's talking about being the character in the book being washed up, relating it to himself, and he sees how professional that 8 year old kid is...actually one of the most important scenes in the movie.

You are crazy.

And tbh when I first heard about the movie and all the people in the cast, I thought it was going to be terrible...trailers looked nice but didn't grab me, glad I was way off.

And that scene becomes even more important when he acts his ass off and she tells him that that was the best acting she has ever seen.

Exactly...convinces him that he's not washed up and then it's off to Italy.

It's probably up there for me too. I tell everyone it's my number one Tarantino now easily. And it just gets better each time I watch it. Also one of the most rewatchable movies ever.
