Anyone else watch this one in the last week? Great movie, and very interesting to watch now. A lot of the behavior seems to have been accurately predicted...

Just saw Outbreak. Can't believe I've never seen it before. Trump needs to reach out to Dustin Hoffman ASAP!

Watched it last Sunday with friends.

Contagion is much better!

Outbreak isn't a bad movie, it's just very much a Disney-fied disaster movie.

Middle school me didn't mind Liv Tyler one bit

I mean Disney-esque in such there's a cookie-cutter love story, no one we really care all that much about dies, it all has a happy ending with the evil man being taken down and the conflicted man choosing good.

Watched it a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that Soderbergh's decision to use that epilogue scene the way he did was genius...and terrifying.

I had to rent it on prime for like 3 bucks....it is infinitely better than outbreak.

Supposedly they did a lot of research on what would happen in a pandemic, got a lot of it right it seems....I do wonder how a vaccine would be awarded with limited supply in reality

I just watched it... Not the feel good movie of the year. Really interesting though.

I'm betting that the numbers are realistic for the virus characteristics they talk about. Thankfully we're not dealing with that bad of a bug.

Wasn't the military draft conducted somewhat using birthdays? It's probably the best thing that they have really good statistics on and it's reasonably evenly distributed.

I remember watching in theaters and thinking "holy sh!*". Just rewatched it and man they get Some of the stuff eerily close. And I'm thinking if R0 or death rate was higher for covid we would be seeing the types of behavior depicted in the movie. The only incredibly unrealistic thing was the quickness of the vaccine being rolled out. Also leaves me with a question of indecision on if being in Matt Damon's shoes would be awesome or terrible.
