Just started episode 2. I'm into it.

I never read it but do enjoy Joe Hill so I'll likely give it a try

How intense/scary is it? From the preview it looks like something my 8 and 12 year olds would love

There's been some moderately suspenseful moments, but it's not over scary. 12 year old should be fine, 8 probably would be too.

It's pretty good. I'll definitely watch season 2.

Not sure about an 8 year old watching this. Depends on their maturity level.

I finished this last night and really enjoyed it. I would not (and did not) let my 8 year old watch it.

Not appropriate for an 8 year old. At least if it follows the comics.

we're struggling to find family shows outside of Raising Dion and Lost in Space.

i liked the look of this one, but further reviews didn't look like it would be a good idea for my 13 year old. i think most of the sex and creepy stuff would mess with him but fly over my 10 year old who is unfazed by death.

i just barely got him to watch Quiet Place and i feel like that's one of the more reserved PG-13 horror movies out there.

I am 4 episodes in. it is creepy and suspenseful but there was no sex yet. This woman did push a kid in front of a train and a shooting and a stabbing. It may get worse, don't know yet. I do like it.

Well, uhh... episode 2? No nudity, but definitely sexual and violent in nature.

This feels like a kiddy CW show. It's not completely terrible, but it's not very good either.

Sorry my post was regarding the no sex comment from Sarduakar. And yes, the show isn't so good. Lacks direction and not surprising it jumped around to different companies before Netflix grabbed it. I like Joe Hill's stuff but this seemed shallow. I'm only two episodes in, but it isn't grabbing me at all.

no sex, but two sex scenes in the first 3 episodes.

3 episodes in and I'm enjoying it so far. Interesting mix of fantasy with just the right amount of creepy.

I got through all the episodes. It was moderately enjoyable but I have no doubt if you asked me about it in a few weeks I'd have a hard time remembering much of what took place. It's quite clear that I was not the target audience as it seems to be aimed at tween to early teens. The stupidity of some of the characters was a bit much at times and the little kid being somewhat of a "take charge" kind of leader was asinine. Then again.....its target audience pretty much calls for this sort of storyline.

And the scene where the oldest son apparently fools around with the chick in the truck only to find out later she is really a he. Yet when he finds out there is no reaction to this? Come on....the first thing he'd think was "damn, I just banged a dude".

Echo is a dude? I thought Echo turned into reincarnated dude to dupe the high school teacher that knew the kid's dad.

Ellie used the key she had to go to the well and wish for the "echo" of her dead, possessed, boyfriend Lucas, whose nickname was dodge. He had been hit by the flying demon from the omega gate and possessed in the past and then killed.

Somehow as echo/dodge/lucas he got the key to transform into the chick. He they talked to Sam through the picture in Rendell's office to manipulate him to kill Rendell, but he had really just wanted the door key. Then echo/dodge/chick got the door key from bode at the well and escaped. He then also transformed himself into Gabe/lobster boy to manipulate the daughter.

The part about Gabe was confusing. Was Gabe a complete manifestation of Dodge or was Gabe an actual person whose persona was taken over by Dodge/Echo? In the latter scenario I'd assume the real Gabe was killed off.

that part was confusing. I think gabe didnt exist only because said that he had just transfered

Season 2 is out now. My wife and I just watched Season 1 again since it had been so long, and tonight we start on Season 2. Is anyone still watching?

Was wondering when this was coming back. We enjoyed with a young teen.

Watched season 2. The ending tied tied things up nicely but getting there was a cluster-f. They barely developed the characters as they just kept making stupid mistakes that were hard to watch. I almost quit. May still try season 3.

I enjoyed it. Finished season one the day after season 2 came out.
Kinda hokey in parts, but season 3 could be a doozy!
