But Tom Cruise works his ass off to stay in better shape than most twenty somethings, which is why he's still an action megastar in his mid 50s.

From a story point of view Maverick and Charlie staying together wasnt realistic. It's like if they made a sequel to knocked up. No way Seth Rogan's character ends up with Katherine Heigls character long term or married . While the original story is somewhat plausible those 2 ending up together long term is not.

Agreed. She had no chemistry with Cruise whatsoever (though not many women do), but this appearance alone is one of the sexiest sex-less scenes of the '80s. She was iconic in this scene. And not a single person in this thread would turn down this woman, at this age, in this scenario, if she was ready and willing...

Fun fact, these two scenes were shot after test screenings. Audiences wanted to see Cruise actually close the deal, along with more flirting. However, McGillis had already died her hair for her next role, and Cruise's hair was longer, as he was in the middle of filming The Color of Money. So the sex scene was shot in silhouette, then McGillis wore a hat to cover her hair in the elevator, and Cruise draped a towel around his neck to hide his longer hair...

my wife is 49 and MUCH MUCH hotter than she ever was.

my GF i took to the movie in the 80's was MUCH MUCH hotter than she ever was.

3/4 of my daughters friends are ALL hotter than she ever was. (all early 30's now... only a little creepy)
